Key Features - The Red Hawk Difference

Tipi Cover:  All Tipi seams are sewn together using a flat field locking seam.  Double needles are used to ensure straight and strong seams. The smoke flap area is reinforced with a ¾" cotton webbing strip throughout the entire area. The lifting pole patch is sewn over the ¾" cotton webbing. The lifting pole patch is triple thick and sewn to the cover.  The patch extends down into the cover to prevent wear.  Double ties are added to tie to the lifting pole.  The Smoke Flap pockets are double thick and heavily sewn. The lacing pin strip is triple thick, glued, and sewn using a sealing, non-coloring, non-bleeding glue. The entrance has a double thick wear strip around the entire opening to prevent wear. All stress points are heavily reinforced with patches or with cotton webbing. The bottom of the tipi is hemmed and a ¾" webbing is added to increase the strength of the hem. 

Tipi Liner: All Tipi liners are one-piece liners. All seams are surged together to prevent fraying.  Liners are 6 ft. vertical height, with a 1 ft. sod cloth. (Liners made out of treated material will be 1 ft. shorter).  Liners are designed so that all the material is under the tipi cover.  This protects the liner when rain drips off the cover. 

Tipi Door: Two loops are sewn on the back side of the door. This allows the door to be rolled up and held by a lacing pin.  The door has room for two ½ inch dowels to be placed inside for support (not supplied).
